Mobile Reconnaissance and Surveillance

The Mobile Reconnaissance Surveillance Team is a full-time ground team formed to provide specialized support of drug investigations. The team’s primary responsibility is to provide assistance in conducting in-depth surveillance and documentation of activities in varying terrain and light conditions. The team is trained to use specialized video equipment, digital photography, cameras with night vision devises, long-range lenses, and unmanned surveillance equipment. Centrally located at Fort Indiantown Gap, the team can deploy with little advance notice to any area of the Commonwealth. Many of the Counterdrug Operational Case Support personnel located throughout the state are crossed-trained and can supplement the activities of the Mobile Reconnaissance and Surveillance Team when a large-scale investigation is requested.
