Ion Scan
Trained National Guard personnel employ the Ionscan 400, a portable, state-of–the-art device used to detect the presence of drugs and the residue in parts per billion. The Ion Scan can detect the particulate residue of over 12 drugs including heroin, methamphetamine, THC, MDMA and cocaine. Applications include the scanning of money for assert seizure, cargo containers and luggage for illegal shipments and hidden compartments found during traffic stops.
